Construction Survey

Construction staking/layout is a natural extension of the full range of services offered by Moorman, Kizer & Reitzel, Inc. The vast majority of all projects engineered by the firm are staked out by our personnel, allowing the same designer to insure the project is built as designed. As part of the construction staking process, the survey team periodically checks invert elevations of installed work to identify grade deficiencies or corrections needed. Our philosophy is to identify problems early in order to prevent the contractor having to remove and replace significant amounts of deficient work which may jeopardize the project schedule or create tension. In addition, Moorman, Kizer & Reitzel, Inc. provides daily construction surveying services to many contractors working at Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base and Simmons Army Air Field. Currently, at least two survey crews provide daily full-time construction stakeout.
