Fort Bragg Erosion Control

Eight erosion control projects located in various locations throughout Fort Bragg (Drop Zones, impact/observation areas, tank and fire trails and roadside ditches). All projects were located in protected areas for the Red Cockaded Woodpecker. Solutions included cellular confinement systems for roadway stabilization, concrete grout fabric, gabions, rock filled mattress and other non-conventional, but new an innovative, methods of stabilization. Each project required unique solution to a challenging erosion problem. Several projects required wetlands (401) and water quality permitting (404). Responsibilities included design drainage design, survey, specifications and permitting.
