GIS/GPS Mapping and Inventory of Electrical Distribution and Transmission

Moorman, Kizer & Reitzel Inc. and O&M Services, Inc. subsidiary company MK&R and O&M Service, LLP to provides electrical infrastructure inventories. Through the use of Global Positioning Systems and Geographic Information Systems we are providing the City of New Bern a seamless, fully attributed electrical distribution and transmission GIS data layer.

The partially completed project has inventoried 3290 electrical poles and 4090 meters and connecting underground and overhead conductors. This progressive project will allow the City Of New Bern to manage their asset, maintenance, customer service and run electrical models. Maps are provided which show maintenance requirements for poles and structures, and clearance infringements for conductors. Potential revenue producing features are collected such as foreign contacts and area lights.
