Southeast Fayetteville

The project eliminated a City maintained retention pond by constructing a large drainage canal approximately 1 mile in length to the Cape Fear River. The watershed area exceeded 400 acres and detail watershed analysis was performed. The canal crossed US 301 with 8'x 8'precast concrete box culverts (one of the first to be used on NCDOT Highway) and an extensive detour plan was developed. Responsibilities included survey, design, traffic control, specifications and permitting.
