Project includes hydrology and hydraulic studies of a 54 square mile watershed with a 150 acre surface acre lake and a high hazard dam in Scotland County. As part of this work, information and calculations were submitted to the Dam Safety Office that ultimately resulted in the design storm for the dam being reduced from a 1/3 PMP storm to the 100-year storm. This project included the construction phase for the installation of a new, 160’ long, 40’ wide cast in place concrete chute spillway. The design work included the coordination of geotechnical, structural, and a hydraulic specialist. The dam has been certified for impoundment by the Dam Safety Office. |
